BLOG , BLOGGING & BLOGGER
BLOG
There are so many definition for blog. Here are some of it:
- Wikipedia defines blog as " A user generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order. Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual although some focus on photographs (photoblog), sketchblog, videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting), and are part of a wider network of social media.
The term "blog" is derived from "Web log." "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. - Yahoo! defines blog as " Blog is short for "web log." Basically, a blog is an online journal. You can write or post about whatever you like: updates of your life, political opinions, a great trip, favorite recipes, what music you're listening to -- anything that strikes your fancy.
- Blogger defines blog as "A blog is a web page made up of usually short, frequently updated posts that are arranged chronologically — like a what's new page or a journal. The content and purposes of blogs varies greatly — from links and commentary about other web sites, to news about a company/person/idea, to diaries, photos, poetry, mini-essays, project updates, even fiction.Blog posts are like instant messages to the web.
Many blogs are personal, "what's on my mind" type musings. Others are collaborative efforts based on a specific topic or area of mutual interest. Some blogs are for play. Some are for work. Some are both.
Blogs are also excellent team/department/company/family communication tools. They help small groups communicate in a way that is simpler and easier to follow than email or discussion forums. Use a private blog on an intranet to allow team members to post related links, files, quotes, or commentary. Set up a family blog where relatives can share personal news. A blog can help keep everyone in the loop, promote cohesiveness and group culture, and provide an informal "voice" of a project or department to outsiders.

Based on the results, i guess McOrange has a looooot of task right now in IMPROVING the environment in the college. Let me start the list:-
- A Better computer in the library(prefer new one)
- More computers in the library( they are already some 80++ diploma students but the library has only 7 computers.

- A better communication with the Management of McOrange( some student does not even know who is the dean or even the student affairs)
- A hotspot or a Wifi Hotspot in the college(most college has this facility already, and I think McOrange should have it as more and more student is owning a laptop already(7 people in my class!!))
- More books in the Library(there are still NOT ENOUGH books in the library for Mobile Communication, I personally was told that there will be more(that was 1 year ago) but it seems there are only 3-5 new books only)

ScreenShots: McOrange New Website

Sadly, you could not access this website from any computers in the library as this site is 100% flash based and you could not instal the software in the library's computer as it is locked to the Student Account(you need an Administrator Account to instal the flash player, then you could view this website).
Anyway, if you happen to use a computer (that is outside McOrange), dont forget to check out the college website.
